The Concept
Enchanted follows a king and his royal troupe into a forest that seems ordinary at first. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when mischievous fairies interrupt the procession with playful tricks, drawing the travelers through an opening into a bright, colorful world.
“Be Thou My Vision” represents the royal travelers, returning in different forms as their adventure unfolds. “The Secret Garden” by AURORA and original music by Stephen Downing bring the enchanted world to life. Playful passages give way to an expressive ballad as the travelers explore the forest, before returning home with a new perspective. The show offers a triumphant conclusion or an optional, more reflective panflute ending.

Eerie harmonica, dark jazz, and an expressive “I Put a Spell on You” ballad lead to an ominous, overpowering finale in Stephen Downing’s bestselling marching band show.
