The Concept

To The Moon follows humanity's journey to the lunar surface, from the excitement of liftoff to the historic first steps on the moon.

Communications between Apollo 11 and Houston introduce Liftoff, an energetic original opener capturing the thrill of leaving Earth.

Inside the spacecraft, a euphonium solo leads an ethereal, jazz-inspired arrangement of Fly Me to the Moon. The music transitions into Debussy's Clair de Lune, featuring a lush chorale that builds with increasing expression and rubato.

The faster passages of Clair de Lune launch an original closer that revisits themes from Liftoff, building toward an epic finale. Historic broadcasts announce the lunar landing and Armstrong's first steps, culminating in the triumphant planting of the American flag.
